A good quality wool carpet roughly takes three months for every m². On the other hand, weaving a good quality silk carpet takes around one year for every m² woven silk. Therefore, silk carpets were also produced as a symbol of power and wealth. Today, different forms of art can be seen on fine silk carpets.
The world’s finest silk carpet woven in our workshops is 24x24=576 knots per square centimeter, and it had entered the book of Guinness World Records in 1993. Nowadays, this record is carried by 50x50=2500 knots per square centimeter, showing the finest point handmade carpet weaving has reached.
